Infants:
For children 6 weeks through 12 months:
Welcome to our infant program! This program services
children 6 weeks through 12 months. The space is designed to be comfortable and
inviting. Relaxing music is played throughout the day and “pods” are set up for
various learning experiences. In this area the Pennsylvania State ratio is 1
teacher to every 4 infants. Our policy states that when the third infant arrives
a second staff member will be assigned to assist the lead teacher, making the
ratio as low as 1:2 on some days. While your child is in our care, the teacher will record all things that take place throughout the day on an “Infant Daily Sheet”.
For mobile children (young toddlers 12-23
months) the transition begins into the toddler program. This space is designed
for the children to begin to explore more independently. For safety reasons,
transition to the toddler program will not fully take place until a child is
walking.

Infant Meals:
The Center participates in the food program.
Therefore, we will provide Gerber Good Start formula for your infant if you
chose to use this brand. If not, we ask that you provide the center with the
formula of your choice. As a child reaches the age of 4, 8 & 12 months, the food program lays out the next stages of food appropriate for the child. At each milestone, your child's teacher will review the appropriate forms for you to complete on what your child will be served. The Center will provide your child with all meals while in care.
Young Toddlers:
For children 13 months through 24 months:
Welcome to our young toddler program! This
program services children 12 months through 23 months. This is the age where the
transitions between the infant and toddler classroom take place. For non-mobile
children, they will stay in the infant area until they are comfortable on their
feet or are showing an interest in the transition. For mobile children the
transition begins into the toddler program. This space is designed for the
children to begin to explore more independently. For safety reasons, transition
to the toddler program will not fully take place until a child is walking.
In the young toddler group, we help them to strive
for independence. We believe that allowing them to discover on their own helps
build social/emotional skills. The classroom is designed to promote each
child’s development at a rate that is their own. Children are introduced to
various experiences in order for them to begin to explore the world around them.
Although this room builds its activities to align with the Infant / Toddler
Pennsylvania State Standards, we understand that children learn in many
different ways and at many different rates and therefore children are never
forced to master any skill they are not ready for.
As in the infant area, all meals are included and
the staff in this rooms will complete daily reports for each child with
information including diaper changes, meals and sleeping routines. With the
combination of daily sheets and conversations with staff, families are able to
stay as connected as possible to their child's day. The staff follows
strict ratio guidelines in order to ensure that your child will have as much
attention and one on one time with our staff as possible. The center will
provide your child with a Pack 'n Plays or a cot for
naptime (depending on the child's age and what is most comfortable for
them).
